How can I contact yahoo about an email I recieved? I want to know it it is a scam or real?
I recieved an official looking thing about a yahoo lottery. It had these names in it, and is requesting information I will only give if it is official. I wonder how a claims officer could have an official gmail address? I NEED TO CONTACT YAHOO!!

of course its a scam, google yahoo promotions scam. Why would a Yahoo employee ever use a @gmail email address, when gmail is owned by their biggest rival?

Did you enter that lottery, you know buy a ticket? No one can win anything unless they enter it. Yahoo has no lottery, reward program, promotions, or contests.
It is a scam to get your personal information and/or money.
Do not respond to it.
Report it, forward it to the FTC at spam@uce.gov and to the abuse desk of the sender’s ISP.

Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you’re reporting on.
Also, if the E-mail appears to be impersonating a bank or other company or organization, forward the message to the actual organization.
