MJ Fans: Does it upset you that…?
… society continues to associate him with child molestation, even though he was acquitted of it?
Michael’s death was not the saddest thing. The saddest thing is that most people remember him as the freak the media portrayed him to be. And I know that every fan holds discomfort in their hearts, knowing that Michael is still not entirely vindicated.

As a year 12 student leader, my friends and I had to come up with a name and mascot for our sports house team. Our team is called "Taylor" and some suggestions were: Taylor Tigers, Taylor Titans, Taylor Tornadoes, Taylor Tanks etc.
I came up with the idea of "Taylor Thrillers" and the majority of students loved it. Taylor Thrillers received 20 votes, runner-up was Taylor Tornadoes with only 9 votes. The rest of the ideas received 5 votes or less.

For the war cries, I suggest we use the Thriller chorus and change it to something like, "’Cause this is TAYLOR, Taylor night – you better watch your back ’cause we will stand and win the fight…" etc.

PROBLEM – The teacher said to us, "I don’t think it’s appropriate, considering.. children.. and.."
She didn’t outright say it, and being the oblivious person I am, did not pick up on her suggestion that parents would not appreciate the idea of Michael Jackson being contributed into a school event.

Other teachers said they didn’t like it because "Taylor Thrillers" sounded irrelevant for a sports name. Definition of thrill: feel sudden intense sensation or emotion. OF COURSE it goes with sports.

Paedophilia (even though he never committed such disgusting acts), has become a part of MJ, and it really hurts me to know that it ALWAYS will be.
This guy was a true role model, and yet it’s almost forbidden to associate him/his music with my school’s activities. It’s unfair, and it’s wrong. The media completely destroyed his reputation.

Has anything similar happened to you? How do you feel about society’s view on MJ? And if you have any comments on the incident that happened to me, please write that down too.

No respectful comments PLEASE.

Thank you!

First answerer: You believe tabloid over court transcripts, it’s your loss.
He did not pay the Chandlers. Jordan did describe his genatilia. He described INCORRECTLY.

wanna know an even sadder story? in gary, an elementary school had named their gymnasium after him. after his child molestation accusations, by request of parents, his name was covered by an ugly piece of plywood. i hate it when teachers bring things like that up because it warps children’s thinking, because it’s just an opinion. their opinion. they have no proof that michael ever touched those kids, and yet they have the nerve to preach it as if it were a fact. its no wonder why so many young people thought MJ was a pervert. adults spoonfeed everything to us, and they really need to watch what they say

i remember when i was 14, i was sitting in class listening to a discussion going on about success or something like that. somehow my teacher directs the discussion into a whole nother direction—-and starts giving her opinions on michael jackson. these were her exact words: "he changed his race, he changed his color, he changed his sex! and don’t get me started on those charges against him.." i was the only person in the class it seems, who wasn’t laughing or agreeing with her. i wanted to defend michael but i didn’t know how, because as a young child i was confused too. and i was afraid to stand up to authority because children are punished for doing just that, even when they’re in the right to do so. i felt my face get hot and tears began to run down my face. i wanted to scream at her, tell her she was wrong, but i couldn’t. i felt so alone that day and angry at myself.

so you see, michael was right. adults often put children down, make them feel inferior, tell them whats right and whats wrong and basically brainwash them with lies. and if they have a differing opinion, there’s a consequence.

its really a shame that your teachers are telling you things like that, and letting their beliefs get the best of them and think they can make you believe the same thing. anyway, maybe this will make you feel better and encourage you to stay strong?

If you had of tried that crap at my school, you would have got your sorry a$s kicked.

Also,Michael Jackson was a child molesting pile of crap who should have been sent to prison years ago, instead of being allowed to buy his victim’s silence.

He was NOT acquitted the first time he was accused.he spent 22 million dollars spending his way out of trouble before there could be a trial.

Edit-Evan Chandler killed himself because he was dying of cancer. And no matter how much you lie,it won’t change the fact the filthy pedophile paid the Chandler family 22 MILLION DOLLARS to keep silent because he knew Jordan could identify "markings" on his genitalia, which would have proved he was a child predator. He should have also been tried for witness tampering.

I really don’t think he molested anyone. He got really close to the kids, but I don’t think there was any molesting involved.

Notice how some of the parents kept the money that he paid them instead of taking the case to court. There is NO real parent that would take the money. If I actually believed that someone molested my kid, there’s no way I’d take the money. Even if it was a billion dollars, I would want that guy locked up. He didn’t "pay to keep his victims silent", he was blackmailed.

Um to the 1st answer ^ ^ How about you get a life and stop answering MJ -Fans- questions ok Michael was proven Not Guilty on All And i Said all 10 Counts the Court Had no Proof once so ever that he Even touched or did anything to a Child
so when your saying MJ Paid people That’s where your Wrong at hun MJ Didn’t pay a Cent to anyone..Guilt will hit you and it sure did hit Evan Chandler who Killed himself because of guilt
