Jehovah's Witnesses, do you believe that you or at least the Heavenly JWs will see God?
Visibly see Him sitting on the Throne as John described in the book of Revelation? Or, at least can the angels in Heaven visibly see His face or visibly behold Him?

If so please help answer related Question below.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index; _ylt=Ah_8QnIPUWkTEXbILYL4Oy7sy6IX;_ylv=3 ?qid=20091213130826AAUqHlh

Revelation 5, symbolic in nature, reveals the oneness of God. It describes One on the throne, but also describes a lion, a root, and a Iamb. Does this description reveal four in the Godhead? Clearly not. Rather, there is only One on the throne. The lion, the root, and the lamb all represent in symbolic form the characteristics and qualifications of the One worthy to open the seals of the book. The lion tells us He is the King from the tribe of Judah. The root tells us He is the Creator. The lamb tells us He is God incarnate and our sacrifice. It is only in this last role that He can be our Redeemer and can open the book. Thus, Revelation 5 teaches there is one God and this one God came in flesh as the Lamb (the Son) to REVEAL Himself to man and to redeem man from sin.

Flat beer. Bottled beer won't carbonate?
I brewed an Irish Stout a few of months ago. It has been in bottle for over a month now and no carbonation has developed. I was pretty slow with getting this from secondary to bottle and I am fairly certain that fermentation was absolutely complete, no yeast edible sugars left and possibly no live yeast left. I definitely added too little priming sugar when I bottled, my other beers have been overly foamy out of the bottle, so I cut back.
The beer is quite tasty, but flat. Is there a product I can use (tabs maybe?) that I can add to the bottles and then re-cap?

The brew store my husband goes to has a contraption you can use that pumps air into the bottle (I think) and will lightly carbonate a beer. It’s really just for keeping beer and soda under pressure so it doesn’t go flat after you open it, but the guy who owns the store said you can use it for carbonation. However, you’d have to do that right before you drink it, because it doesn’t last very long.
Moojoo | Dec 11, 2009

likely you waited too long and they yeast was all dead, which means adding the priming sugar won’t help
your best bet if you want to get it to go again, since that priming sugar is still there, is to activate a packet of yeast, and put a little in each bottle.

other than that, you could inject CO2 into the beers… some home brewers, most major beer companies do this, but it requires CO2 tanks and equipment you likely don’t have.
Corvato | Dec 11, 2009

You could use this as an excuse to start kegging….

If that’s not an option, check your gravity. If your gravity is higher than when you bottled, then the yeast died, leaving the unfermented sugar behind. If the gravity is lower, than you need to buy a new capper, as the last batch failed to seal properly.

If it’s the first scenario and you *really* want to keep the brew, you can re-innoculate and re-bottle. First, get a smack pack of the yeast you were using. Spank it and let it swell. Then sanitize everything, even the outside of the old bottles. Set-up your bottling stuff completely. Next, open all the bottles and pour them slowly into your bottling bucket. Add the yeast. Re-bottle. Store upright in a warm (72F) dark place for a couple of weeks before tasting.

I would not re-add sugar under any circumstances. I’ve done this a total of once and am lucky that I’m only cleaning beer off the walls of my cellar. Bottle bombs are no fun.
John O | Dec 11, 2009

It is not carbonating because there is no yeast to carbonate with. You either let it starve to death or let it all autolysis.

You could pour one bottle and pitch some more yeast in it with some sugar. Let that sit for about 24 hours. Then pour the rest of the bottles into a bucket adding that first bottle last with some more sugar. Let it sit for a few hours, then bottle again.

Or you could put it into a keg, set it to about 25psi and let it sit at 60F for about 24 hours.

Or you can test it with about a tsp of sugar and see if it starts back up. In which case you open every bottle add more sugar and then cap it again.

When you think about it, they are the same thing, characters created to replace insanity with happiness. A lot of people would call me atheist for that, but I’m not saying god doesn’t exist. When you think about it, if only one religion is correct, the rest are pretty much just another Santa Claus or Easter Bunny.

Santa is a paganist belief, God is not.
Dennis | Nov 22, 2009

The difference between God, and Santa Claus is this:
Santa Claus is a fictional character we made up to entertain little children, and to get them to behave themselves during a certain time of year.
God is a real essence, and like all essences, is hard to explain or describe. So, what humanity did early on in our development in consciousness, was come up with a story to try to explain this something that seemed to be other. At the time that we started to develop this story, we were still, for the most part, in our early archaic, and magical, stages of development. Then we moved into the mythical stage of our development, and came up with what is now known as the "traditional" religions. Since that time, the leading edge of human development then went on into the rational stage of deveolpment, and then into higher, and deeper post-rational stages of development. The problem, is that most people who claim to be "religious", have stopped at the mythical stage, and have not gone onto the rational, and post-rational stages. Thus, God, who is transcendent beyond all human conceptions, gets a "bad name" due to our being stuck, (as a society) in the immature mythical stage of development, and gets thrown out, like the baby with the dirty bathwater.
(And btw, atheists are just as stuck as the "traditional" religionists are. Atheists’ happen to be stuck at the rational level of consciousness, and have yet to move into the more mature levels of post-rational development.)
Anyway, I digress.
Santa is a mythical story that most of us outgrow.
The mythical ideas of God is something we should also outgrow, and move into the more trans-rational understandings, and conceptions of Spirit.
Go in Peace, to Love and Serve.

Why are people so afraid of wolves?
Ive read about wolves over the past few years and I think they need helped, but people around my area are kind of afraid of wolves. so many people think they are vicious and they attack pruposly.

There are legitimate reasons to fear wolves– after all they are powerful hunters and pose an especially high risk to livestock. However, due to hunting and diminishing habitat, wolves are endangered and should be helped in that respect.

I don’t think you should be upset with people or think they are stupid for being afraid of wolves. It is a natural and ancient fear. However, this is not a reason to obliterate them. I think you should try to educate people on wolves and ways to live near them safely. People will still fear wolves, as they should, but they will understand just what it is they SHOULD fear about wolves, and also why they should fear the extinction of wolves.

Jaquandria | Dec 07, 2009

Hard to be afraid of wolves when i’m looking at a half of one.
But people are afraid of wolves because of the pack instinct and how ominous a wolf call at night sounds, a lot of people think they’re cold blooded killers who will sneak into your safe little town and eat children, but they’re not evil, they do need help as their population is diminishing, they only pick off our livestock bec ause we’ve invaded their hunting grounds.
No matter how many times you try and argue with them fear is a hard thing to overcome, especially uneducated fear.
(And for all the boo-ers of hybrid dogs, my husky/wolf was adopted, regardless of the wolf in him I didn’t want to see such a beautiful and happy puppy get put down !)

This hatred is deep-rooted.
The wolf has always symbolised evil in the Bible. The shepherds would have to protect their flock from the wolves (evil).
Also, do you know "the boy who cried wolf?". That is just an example.
Hope this helped.

Plot: An exploration of fame and identity, inspired by one of Hollywood’s most infamous real-life mysteries. June 16, 1959. The glamour of Tinseltown permanently fades for actor George Reeves, the heroic Man of Steel on TV’s Adventures of Superman, as the actor dies in his Hollywood Hills home. Felled by a single gunshot wound, Reeves leaves behind a fiancee – aspiring starlet Leonore Lemmon – and millions of fans who are shocked by his death. But it is his grieving mother, Helen Bessolo, who will not let the questionable circumstances surrounding his demise go unaddressed. Helen seeks justice, or at least answers. The Los Angeles Police Department closes the case, but Helen hires – for $50 a day – private detective Louis Simo. Simo soon ascertains that the torrid affair Reeves had with Toni Mannix, the wife of MGM studio executive Eddie Mannix, might hold the key to the truth. But truth and justice are not so easily found in Hollywood. Simo pursues dangerous and elusive leads in both high and low places and, in trying to turn up the heat, risks getting burned. The detective also uncovers unexpected connections to his own life as the case turns more personal and he learns more about Reeves himself. Behind the icon was a complex man who gave his life to Hollywood in more ways than one.

What is the name of this speech given by Abraham Lincoln?
" [We want,] and must have a national policy in regard [slavery,] which deals with it as being a wrong– Whoever [would prevent] its nationalization, and perpetuity, surrender [that?] when he yields to a policy treating it, either as being right, or as a matter of indifference– We admit that the general government is not charged with the duty of redressing, or preventing, every all wrongs in the world– But it rightfully may, subject to the constitution, redress, and prevent, all wrongs which are such wrongs to the nation itself– It is expressly charged with the duty of providing for the general welfare– We think slavery impairs and endangers the general welfare– Those who do not think think this, are not of us, and we can not argue with them– We must shape our own course, upon our own judgment–

We must not disturb slavery in the states where it exists, because the constitution, and peace of the country, both forbid us– We must allow allow not withold an efficient fugitive slave law, because the constitution requires it–

We must, by a national policy, prevent the spread of slavery into either teritories or free states;3 because the constitution does not forbid us, and the general welfare does require it– We must prevent the revival of the African slave trade, because the constitution does not forbid us, and the general welfare does require it– We must prevent these things being done, by either Congresses or courts– The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both congresses and courts — not to overthrow the constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert it–

[To] effect our main object we have to employ auxil[iary] [means.] We must hold conventions, adopt platforms, select candidates, and carry elections: At every step we must be true to the main purpose– If we adopt a platform, falling short of our principle, or elect a man rejecting our principle, we not only take nothing affirmative by our success, but draw upon us the positive embarrassment of seeming to have ourselves abandoned our principles ourselves–

That our principle, however baffled, or delayed, will finally triumph, I do not permit myself to doubt, Men will pass away — die, politically, and naturally, but the principles will live, and live forever– Organizations, rallied around that principle, may, by their own foll, folly, go to pieces thereby losing all their time and labor– But the principle will remain, and will reproduce another, and another till the final triumph will come. But to bring it soon, to stay when brought, we must save our labor already performed — our organization, which has cost so much time and toil to create– We must keep our principle constantly in view– And, as to men for leaders, we must remember that "he that is not for us is against us– "he that gathereth not with us scattereth[."]4 "

And does this speech happen before he’s president? Because I’m looking for speeches that Lincoln gave during his first presidential campaign. Do you know any other speeches? Can you provide me the link or name please?

Thanks!

This is to the Lincoln papers at the Library of Congress.

The paragraph beginning "We must not disturb slavery in the states where it exists …" is from his notes of September 16 and 17 1859, preparing for speeches to be made in Ohio and Kansas.

Presumably the speech made in either of those locations, if it was reprinted, was the source for the quotation.

should I break up with my boyfriend?
I have been dating with my current boyfriend for almost 3 years, but there is a problem, he is not very romantic, the last time we watch movies in the theater was 2 years ago (spider man 3). we hang out about 3-4 times a years, I think, and most of those times we go to his friends’ house, I had fun but not with my boyfriend but his friends instead.
another problem that he always criticized me that I’m fat. I admit that I gained weight over the summer, but i still feel hurt.
on Thanksgiving’s Day, we both went to his friends’ house for dinner, and his friends told me that I was fat,, (right now I’m 120 lbs with the height of 5 ft), later on, my boyfriend told me to get diet, and I told him, "I rather die than diet." I know it’s funny. I just don’t understand that why the appearance is so important to guys, doesn’t he love me for who I am, not my figure? if I get fatter, then he won’t love me no more?
I told him that I don’t criticize his figure ( he is so skinny) then why he does, he said nothing. I told him that "then I should date some guy who is fatter than me, so he won’t criticize me" and my boyfriend said "go ahead."
do you think my boyfriend truly loves me? because I don’t feel like he understands me at all. when I am around him, I don’t know he feels happy or not, I’m the only one visit him every week, every Saturday. He doesn’t even care to give me a call in the week. I don’t know whether I’m important to him or not.
Please help me out, what should I do about this relationship?

Sweetheart, if your boyfriend doesn’t appreciate you for you, I wouldn’t keep going out with him. First, sit down and talk to him about it. Tell him that you miss having one on one time with him and that you don’t appreciate him criticizing you. You shouldn’t have to keep him out of guilt, if you find yourself wondering if you love him, maybe its time to find someone who’ll love you for you. Hope you find your dream man and God bless!!

if you’re fat he’s not happy with you and it goes to show by the explanation you gave so thoroughly. hes just holding onto you until something better comes along or hoping you will leave him. if you were nice looking he would be much happier. if you break up with him it will be hard to find a new man being fat as you may. you will end up going on a diet for sure then.

Guys are genetically programed to judge appearence more so then women, if you are overweight you should definatly excersice and try to stay away from processed foods ie (chips, chocolate bars, fast food) not just to impress the guys but also for your health, you will look better and feel better and its much easier to lose weight when your younger then when your older.

If he truly liked you for you… then he wouldn’t give a crap about your body…. that’s obviously the only thing he cares about… orrr he just wanted a gf to make himself look cooler that’s why he didn’t hang out with you much. And he wants you to be skinny because he’s a shallow jerk and if a girls gonna make him cooler, the girl ha gotta look good too you know? I’m sorry, you will find another man who treats you soo much better someday, dumb him, he really doesn’t deserve you

Hi.
My personal belief is that you’re boyfriend does not care for you because like you said he cares about your figure and not for who you are i personally would not take that anymore. sweetie you deserve better and you know. i am NOT telling you to break up with him. listen to your heart and it will lead you to the right decision. he don’t even bother to call you that is so wrong. I hope i helped you i am sorry if i didnt.
Remember this:
the real people in your life don’t care about your looks, they care for what is in your heart(:
god bless<3

I think you should tell him you are going to go on a diet where you intend to lose ( insert his weight here) pounds very quickly. For the way he treats you, it would not surprise me he might even be part of why you might not have the healthiest eating habits. BTW 120 is not bad at all, but I mentioned the bad eating habits as a thought. He does not seem seriously interested in you and you might just be easy enough to keep as a girlfriend that he will have you until he can replace you.
