I would like to know what ???means in Chinese?

I know that I wrote it in Japanese. It is just to save me the trouble of looking up the pinyin. I know the characters (hanzi) from Japanese. But, I learned another method of transliterating Chinese (not pinyin)
Oh now I am more confused than I was before. I did an exercise and the person who graded it worte ?? on it.

?? in Chinese means ‘not bad’ or ‘that is correct’, but the first meaning is more common.

eg.
"How does your food taste?"
"Not bad!"

eg.
"Your name is ____, right?"
"That is correct."

Hope this helps!

Bu cuo literally means "not bad," but, unlike in English, it’s a positive statement. It’s almost like saying "pretty good."

And what I’ve heard mostly for "that is correct" is ??, not ??.
