medical: Does tap water kill penicillin?
I added tap water to my ‘pen’ and I wanted to know if it was still effective, or whether the chlorine had killed the ‘pen’.
powdered penicillins that have to be reconstituted should be reconstituted with distilled water.
using tap water isn’t recommended but it won’t kill the penicillin. pen vk and amoxicllin are
not destroyed by stomach acid which as a pH of 1.3 so i doubt the tap water will affect it.
