What do I say to her?
So I met this girl on MySpace (well, not really — she’s friends with a friend, but we have never met in person), and we’ve started talking a little. We’ve had a little e-mail chain, and this is how it’s gone so far:
– Me: Hey, do you know someone named … ?
– yeah, i think she was in my choir class in ninth grade. why?
– I thought you might, both being from … she goes to my school. You were in choir?
– yup, no im still in choir.
– Cool then, I was in band until sophomore year, but I had to quit when I transferred. they have a band here, but it’s student-led and kinda crappy. Plus they don’t have marching band … and I’d be too busy to practice. Especially now … gah.
And she has read this last message (in fact, she even edited her prof a lot), but didn’t respond. I don’t want to come off too strong and freak her out (especially bc we’ve only talked online), but I know I have to be at least a little ambitious or she won’t even be interested in me at all. What would be a good thing to say/do next?
I should add that I am interested in a relationship if she is, that she lives about two hours from me by car, and that — here’s something interesting — she put up her phone number right after reading my message, even though she didn’t respond to me directly. Text her maybe? I dont know … help?
Oh, by the way, a lot of people are asking me why I am interested in a relationship. Well, I guess that was a little premature to say, but she seems to have a nice personality and she’s really cute, so two good things so far.
