What do people really think about Bloody Sunday?
What do you really think about Bloody Sunday? Who’s fault was it? Why were there no sentences?
It cannot be undone. There are conflicting accounts of what happened. Obvious lies told by both sides of the debate. It’s time to move on.

You wake up in the morning, you’ve got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you’ve got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think, Sunday, bloody Sunday!

Any deaths are a tragedy, but the troops were being fired on so of course they fired back.

I doubt if we will ever know the whole truth. It was a tragedy in more ways than the deaths of those shot by British troops. Rather than seeking to lay blame, I wonder if both sides could recognise it as the disaster that it was and, together, determine to build bridges between communities so it never happens again. We all have to respect our fellow human beings and their right to hold beliefs that differ from our own.

For Dav:-
The S.A.S. were NOT INVOLVED, in what Republicans, describe as "BLOODY SUNDAY", – it was the First Batallion of the PARACHUTE REGIMENT.
