 Night Passage (1957)

Plot: The workers on the railroad haven’t been paid in months — that’s because Whitey and his gang, including fast-shooting, dangerous, but likeable Utica Kid, keep holding up the train for its payroll. Grant McLaine, a former railroad employee who was fired in disgrace, is recruited to take the payroll through under cover. A young boy and a shoebox figure into the plot when Whitey’s gang tries to hold up the train and Grant and the Kid meet again to settle an old score.

His identity has been completely manufactured from possession’s stored in a box found in a 9th floor flat in Galway House, Islington
Included with some instructions on starting a Blog were; plans for some new Art, old Perishers books, some Topological studies, a recording of ‘Moonchild’ and ‘Venus as a Boy’ and a list of questions to be spun out over time on the internet
There is one known photo of him, but it was never published and whether it is still in circulation is uncertain
Information gathered on him has been sketchy
Some say he is to be found in the forgotten passages beneath the Barbican estate and is trying to form a Renegade Sophisticate army ready one day to be let loose on the World
Some say he is living as a troglodyte in the secret corridors of the Spinnaker Tower
Some say he haunts all these places
There have been many sightings of him at Art fairs, Concept Car shows, and small Bistros and Bars accompanied by a gentile young Woman of breathtaking beauty
It has been said that he is managing the shows in burlesque theatres in Paris, trying out his charm on the Can-Can girls and having the time of his life
And that he is really the Stig from ‘Top Gear’
And that he has taken charge of a team of saucy cheerleaders who, though he shows some strict authority still show respect
Who can really tell when is the right time for the connoisseurs of wit, style and form to make their return?
Perhaps he is really in the giant shadows you see from the corner of your eye when the candle gutters
Look for him there and in the shapes created by light shifting across the dark spaces of night and maybe you will catch a glimpse of his flitting form moving on to the next adventure
