Why am I so frightened by a picture?
Okay. So, around eight months ago, I saw the infamous smile.jpg picture. (For those of you who don’t know what it is, it is a picture of a VERY creepy smiling dog that supposedly drives you insane, if we are to take creepypastas as fact. You can Google it at your own risk.) It probably wasn’t even the "real" one, but it still scared me to death. Nowadays, I don’t go on any scary story sites until I’ve absolutely verified that no versions of the picture are on it. Actually, just last month, I was on a website that seemed pretty harmless (it was called something Scary for Kids), and, for some reason, I decided to click on the gallery of "scary pictures". Sure enough, under the category of "scary animals", was a version of smile.jpg. I immediately closed out of the window, shut down my computer, and walked outside. What are the reasons for this? Why do I have such an irrational fear?

I’ve had it where I’ve watched different animes or movie where something happened in them, and I only got scared about it later. Maybe you’ve just got a bit of a residual fright. What will happen if a 17 year old girl from Las Vegas runaway to California?(SD)?

Won’t tell you my life story but I left home on Jan.15 and reported missing by my dad on the 19th

Severe cramping anytime I walk and big blood clots 2 days after miscarriage.?
So I had a miscarriage 2 days ago and I should have been 11 weeks but the ultrasound showed the baby stopped growing at 6. So yesterday I stayed home all day except going to the grocery store and just walking around there I had severe cramping I had to rush home but once I got home and got off my feet I was fine. But today I felt fine all day so I decided to take my 2 year old son to the park to get him out of the house for a little bit, I was only gone an hour with him and didn’t do much and the cramps were way worse than they were even during the miscarriage. I immediatly rushed home in tears and the cramps didn’t stop for 4 hours. At first I thought that was why you are supposed to take it easy for 3 days but when my sister said that wasnt normal I looked it up and its a warning sign but it doesn’t say what it means, any ideas and yes I will call the doctor monday.

i had this after my miscarriage, and had contractions starting and stopping, once they started they were going every 3minuets, this went on for 7days, then one night the pain just stopped and i felt alot of blood gush out, when i went to the toilet there was like a long stringy clot hanging out of me, i pulled it and i kind of felt my self open and a huge placenta fell into my hand, i rushed back to hospital and i had to be checked over incase anything else was left.

This can be normal. It is hard to say as you don’t give a lot of detail about what happened during the previous two days. natural miscarriages aren’t always as predictable as people like to think (I should know- I have had 7 & they were ALLLL different) and the vast majority require no medical intervention. So I can’t say for certain that you even passed the baby yet….and even then, there is other tissue that likely needs to come out as well. The typical medical advice is as follows:

No baths until all bleeding has stopped (showers are fine of course).
NO tampons
No sex until bleeding has stopped (not hard to do I am sure)
If you are having unbearable pain seek medical attention
If you run a fever seek medical attention
If you are soaking more than a pad per hour, seek medical attention

Did your Dr do a trans vaginal ultra sound to confirm that you have passed all or most of the tissue? If not I would request one Monday (assuming you don’t meet the above criteria for immediate medical attention). It isn’t pleasant, particularly when you may still be bleeding) but it will tell whether you have expelled everything (or most of it) or whether you may be retaining any tissue that may need to be surgically removed (D&C). I am personally not a huge advocate of D&C’s. I hosted a miscarriage support group for several years & am still a member (just got too busy to be in charge) & honestly I have seen MORE of what you describe post-D&C than I have ever heard from women who miscarry naturally – I have also seen more complications from D&C’s – with that being said – like all medical interventions there are times when it IS medically warranted as well (such as in case of hemorrhage).
After each of my losses I have always taken a WEEK off my feet basically. I know it’s hard with a toddler (I have one too) but I really did limit my activity as much as possible. Your body needs time to go through this process & to heal. Also make sure you take your prenatals still to help your body heal & be patient with yourself.

I am really sorry for your loss & hope the cramps & bleeding let up soon. For me – all of mine were over within a week – but it sometimes takes longer. In my experience anything longer than 2 weeks is something to see a Dr about as well. ((((HUGE HUGS)))

Fable II for 360, How do you get to the gargoyle in the carriage park?
Ok, in Fable II right when you enter Bowerstone Market there is a general store to your right and the carriage place to your left. Inside the big garage looking thing is a gargoyle that you can shoot down. Easy enough right? Well every single time that I try to shoot this thing down i can’t because I hit the carriage or the stone arch. This big carriage that is smack dab in the middle of the thresh-hold is blocking me form being able to shoot this gargoyle. How does anyone get to the freaking gargoyle! mehhhh!

You can manage to shoot it sometimes, but it’s easier if you wait till after you go to the Spire. After you return from the Spire, the carriage will move allowing you to just walk in and shoot the blasted thing.

I’m a 14 year old, turning 15 this year. My boyfriend (of one and a bit years) and I had consensual sex quite recently that was a mutual initiation, with a condom properly used. We were both virgins, and we have not had sex since.

I am aware that at 14 I can go to a doctor’s clinic on my own, and make an appointment on my own, but I am worried about:

a) How much the pill costs (I have next to no income, and have been searching for a job for approximately six months)
b) What my mother will say if she finds the packet
c) How to get to and from the clinic
d) The level of confidentiality offered by the doctor

In particular, d) concerns me, as I know the legal age of consent in NSW is 16. My partner is 16, and I am 14 – I believe there is a loophole that basically says that as long as the age difference does not exceed 3 years and it is (of course) consented to by both people in question, it is not illegal. I have not talked to a counselor about this as she automatically has to inform my mother.
One idea I had for c) was to say I was going into town with some friends, catch a bus into town after school with a friend, go to the doctor’s, do a bit of shopping, and then have my mother pick us up at a safe place (read: not near the doctor’s) at a designated time.
In regards to b), c) and overall, I do feel that doing c) and going on the pill are betrayals of my mother’s trust, and I’m wondering if I should just tell her that my partner and I are having sex.

In this case;

a) Should I?
b) What should I say?
c) How should I approach her?

If you were a true viking and out at sea in a violent storm you would have first hand evidence of your Gods and their power. you would offer your prayers to him as protection and deliverance the same as modern christians do to Jesus in times of danger and hardship.

People respected those gods because they were afraid of them, and prayed to them that the seas and sky would be could to them so they could provide for their families and whatnot. I love Jesus, because he was the perfect example of love for humanity. I suppose you could say that people pray to Jesus for the same stuff that people did Poseidon and Thor, but that’s just sad. Jesus is not there to make sure you win the lottery, or get a raise next month. He’s there to show you how to love.

Without commenting on the merits of one religion or the other, I would have to say this.

Ancient religions are classified as "mythology". So there are all sorts of mythologies that talk about all of the ancient religious gods and goddesses. They also talk about everything else under the sun.

All of the ancient civilizations had their own brand of religion. Some of their practices are extant and well known and documented.

Judaism, Christianity, Islam and all of the existing modern religions are all borne of myth. In other words they’re stories.

Therefore the ancient mariner praying to Thor and Poseidon would be placing as much faith in his day as any Christian, Jew or Muslim would put into their God.

In short, no difference, absent the merits of one religion over another, in terms of what a person would do.

I think a lesbian likes me…. Serious question?
I’ll make this as short as possible.
One of my best friends sisters is gay. I grew up with these ppl(friend and his sis) and am also the type of dude that doesn’t give 2 craps what walk of life you come from/choose as long as you’re peaceful and friendly, you’re all good in my book.
So after this music show my buddy put on I was curious about where the after party was. There was one way out on the other side of town or my friends sis invited me to hang out with she, her girlfriend and some of their other friends….I went over to their house.
Moving on….My friends sis went to bed, but the rest hung out including me. We were talking about music and most, if not all of them seemed impressed with my music likes lol, they liked some of the funny/diff phrases I said and how polite and well mannered I am lol, but somewhere between the last bowl and the next my friends sis’s g/f asked for my phone #. I’ve only known these ppl for about 1.5hr. The whole room got silent….I tried to break the awkwardness by pulling out my phone and she started spouting her phone # to me….
Soon after this, munchies broke out and my friends sis’s g/f(lets call her jane) proceeded to make me a vegan tamale(I didn’t think that was possible either lol). I told her about my sensitive stomach and she seemed so interested in helping me figure out what to eat/not to eat and how she could show me how to make these(I can cook btw, but played dumb as to let her talk) etc…. I then started to notice she was very sweet on me and asking me about what I do, my age, etc….(in more than just a friendly way)I admit that her lifestyle(more the bohemian style whilst maintaining femininity) is diff than mine, but I find that/her interesting and attractive. She is my type….Diff, fun, outgoing, intelligent, non-materialistic while still feminine and awfully nice, likes the outdoors.
So….Here’s the question. It’s true that in human society female homosexuality is way less rigid then male’s so I have this feeling she may have a crush…and I admit, I may be a little sweet on her too.
To be sensitive to her/my friends sis and their situation, how do I bring this up with her? I am def not opposed to dating her at all and would love the chance, but am afraid of stepping on toes.
Should I bring up that I notice her being sweet on me? Or should I let her bring it up?

FYI…I’m 29 and she’s about 22-23 if any of that could be a factor.

Not if you want to keep your friend. If you mention that you think she likes you you can mess up her relationship with your friend’s sister regardless of whether you’re wrong or right about it and I’m pretty sure your he wouldn’t be too happy about that. That and it’s always wrong to sniff around someone else’s partner. If she ever breaks up with her gf then sure, give it a shot (though if she’s a lesbian as opposed to bi I don’t fancy your chances), but otherwise you’d be best not to mention it.

Tough question… there is chance, that people calls her lesbian or she wasn’t sure so she called herself as lesbian… that’s the problem. Also, she have someone already? That’s the 2nd problem… You have to wait for the chance but it’s your job to find out how she feels. I mean, if you like her, you want to find about her by yourself, right?
