Thing Below, The (2004)

IMDB rating: 2.20

Plot: The abundance of the ocean-lurking creatures always gives grounds to the variety of terrific tales and stories. In this undersea horror suspense by Jay Andrews a research team is sent to the distant oil rig after the SOS signal was received. Arrived on the rig, the researchers found it completely empty, with no soul aboard; there were almost no trace of life. As Captain Jack Griffin (Billy Warlock) and Professor Anna Davis (Catherine Lough Haggquist) proceed into the depths of the underwater constructions, accompanied by their fellow team, they begin to loose people in the desperate attempts to find out what has happened to the oil rig crew. To mention, sharks and spurts are not the most terrible sea creatures…

If you compare Fabian Socialism to our Gov't today, don't you agree they resemble each other?
Fabian Socialism:

We have recently seen a greater push toward socialism, though few realize it. The government is assuming more and more responsibility for and authority over the economy, all under the guise of protecting the people from potentially unscrupulous free marketeers. We are being moved yet another step closer to the dream-society of the Fabians. Of course, these are simply steps, essential parts to a much broader agenda, one that is authoritarian in nature and execution, even the centrally planned economy is a mere step, not the end product. It is all carefully crafted, manufactured to ensure the most popular support possible for "people-friendly" solutions while instituting a fraudulent system of central control over the unsuspecting public. The system has been marketed to the public, one specific component at a time, each component essential to the completion of the whole and that is the brilliance of this gradual imposition of Fabian Socialism in this country.

The greatest bulwark against tyranny in America has always been the system of private ownership and free enterprise, it is the cornerstone of our system of government and without it our freedoms and liberty are in jeopardy. Central economic planning is, in a very basic sense, the keystone to Fabian Socialism, for in order for it to succeed, central State planning and control must replace the system of free enterprise. While it was not necessary for the State to actually own or directly control all the elements in the economy it is enough for the State to have the right to assert itself in any area that it deems necessary. The Fabians called it "the democratization of economic power", in other words socialized and centralized control over economic direction within the country.

In 1942, Stuart Chase, in his book "The Road We Are Traveling" spelled out the system of planning the Fabians had in mind; the interesting thing is to look at that plan in comparison to 2008 America.

1. Strong, centralized government.

2. Powerful Executive at the expense of Congress and the Judicial.

3. Government controlled banking, credit and securities exchange.

4. Government control over employment.

5. Unemployment insurance, old age pensions.

6. Universal medical care, food and housing programs.

7. Access to unlimited government borrowing.

8. A managed monetary system.

9. Government control over foreign trade.

10. Government control over natural energy sources, transportation and agricultural production.

11. Government regulation of labor.

12. Youth camps devoted to health discipline, community service and ideological teaching consistent with those of the authorities.

13. Heavy progressive taxation.

It should be evident that while Socialist no longer use the name that the plan is Socialism at its heart. The Fabian Socialist Revolution began in earnest in this country in 1933 with the imposition of the Welfare State and has been steadily progressing since. Those who are promoting this system, whether in the Republican Party or Democratic Party, are nothing less than Traitors, guilty of a type of high treason that deserves the most punitive penalty for such treachery. Listen carefully to the propositions of both McCain and Obama; I suspect that you will quickly find both of their positions are not only similar, but propose in essence and detail the Fabian Socialist construct. The system that these marauders are imposing upon us will ultimately alter our system of government beyond recognition.

#4 is key for this country. As soon as we are dependent, we can be abused.

Fable II for 360, How do you get to the gargoyle in the carriage park?
Ok, in Fable II right when you enter Bowerstone Market there is a general store to your right and the carriage place to your left. Inside the big garage looking thing is a gargoyle that you can shoot down. Easy enough right? Well every single time that I try to shoot this thing down i can’t because I hit the carriage or the stone arch. This big carriage that is smack dab in the middle of the thresh-hold is blocking me form being able to shoot this gargoyle. How does anyone get to the freaking gargoyle! mehhhh!

You can manage to shoot it sometimes, but it’s easier if you wait till after you go to the Spire. After you return from the Spire, the carriage will move allowing you to just walk in and shoot the blasted thing.

mr_j526 | Jan 21, 2010

That gargoyle was a pain in the rear. I did shoot him though, with a rifle… from the nearby bridge, if I recall.

If this still doesn’t work for you, I believe that if you buy the carriage stop, the carriage will move.

Immortel (ad vitam)
Immortel (ad vitam) (2004)

IMDB rating: 5.90

Plot: This movie is set in the year 2095, hence the presence of mutant humans and extraterrestrials. The main character is known as Jill (Linda Hardy). She is not human. When she is discovered by Dr Elma Turner (Charlotte Rampling) she is diagnosed as being the most interesting genetic test subject Turner has ever come across. Her organs are not in the right place, she has no memory and she appears, biologically to be only three months old. Turner gives her a break, gives her an identity card and a place to stay, in exchange for being her guinea-pig to work on and discover more about. Nicopol is a frozen prisoner who is due to be released a year after the film is set. There is a problem in the prisoner ward and several are thrown down to grow (dying in the process), including Nicopol (but only his leg). There is a lot more to this story but I can’t disclose it in this summary, I don’t have the words.

I need like a parent's guide for a movie?
I love this actor Thomas Kretschmann and i recently heard of this movie he’s in called Immortel ad Vitam or something like that. I know it’s based on a graphic novel and I love those kinds of movies but I know what they can contain. What should I be concerned about? Sex,violence, language, etc? I don’t care about drugs. And is it in subtitles?
Please don’t give me links. I’d like to know from someone who’s actually seen the movie. I need to know if it’s ok for a 13 year old. She’s very mature.

Easter Egg Adventure, TheEaster Egg Adventure, The (2004)

IMDB rating: 3.90

Plot: In the middle of the night in EggTown, a mysterious figure sneaks into a bakery shop to steal some pastries. He is chased out, thanks in large part to the keen eye of Good Gracious Grasshopper, but not before his cloak is marked with some desert-like evidence. The thief is Terrible Timothy Take-It, and he scurries to his mother’s home. Timothy’s mother, Tiny Tessie, is asleep. He loves his mother and deep down yearns to be good, but circumstance has led Timothy down a slippery slope to mischief. He leaves the cloak behind, and the next day, wearing that same garment, Tessie wanders into the village to do her shopping. Seeing the evidence on Tessie’s cloak, the townsfolk believe she is the thief. Coming to her rescue is Horrible Harriet Hare, a smart, lonely and occasionally over-bearing, schoolteacher. She convinces the townsfolk that Tiny Tessie, a frail, old hen, could not have been responsible for the break-in. The incident is forgotten, and the town prepares for its biggest day of the year, Egg Day. Egg Day is the day every Easter egg in the world is manufactured. Horrible Harriet Hare also prepares for the big day: each year, on Egg Day, she has a picnic with the school’s headmaster, Big Boring Benedict Bunny. Benedict and Harriet love each other, but they can never find the courage to express their feelings to one another. They are embarrassed by their nicknames, meanwhile, Timothy Take-It returns to the lair where he lives with the other Take-Its. They are a rough and menacing lot who conspire to steal all of EggTown’s Easter eggs. That night, they sneak into EggTown and do the deed, but Good Gracious Grasshopper is on the job again and witnesses the robbery. At an emergency town meeting, an unusual group of heroes assemble to retrieve the stolen eggs: the group consists of Benedict, Harriet, Good Gracious, Tiny Tessie, Boss Baker (the owner of the pastry shop) and Mrs. Baker. They must brave the treacherous swamps and forests to get to the Take-Its’ lair. The journey is fraught with danger and adventure and the brave little group ends up finding a lot more than what they were looking for.

My Big 13th BDAY!!?
Ok, not a big party. Most of these would consist of like 5-6 of my close friends. I’m so excited, but so sick of the usual pool party or bowling. I want something different. Doesn’t have to be extravagent – just unique. I have a few ideas. It’s not until July 11th – but my mom has asked me to start thinking.

1. Hawaian Party: Pretty self-explanitory. Hawaian food, games, music, and decorations. I’d have to look more into that if it makes my top 3, but right now it’s just an idea.

2. Chocolate Themed: Chocolate Fountain, Chocolate Cake, watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, goodie bag would have gourmet chocolates. I don’t know yet where I’d get the supplies, but it shouldn’t be hard.

3. Mixed up Holidays: I’d mix in all my favortie holidays! (aka – stockings for goodie bags, easter egg hunt, make costumes, make valentines, eat 4th of July food and have fireworks, etc. Legal fireworks like at Target….

4. Competition Party: I’d set up 4 or 5 contests and competitions then give out prizes. It’d be really unique ideas.

5. Movie Making: Either I’d write a script or we’d all write a script. Then film it, add special effects, and watch it with our familys while eating popcorn and stuff.

6. Adventure: In Ohio we have 2 major amuesment parks. I would invite 2 friends to spend a day at one of them and ride all the cool rides.

Which one sounds the best? Any suggestions, ideas, or comments. Thanks.
