Just answered a Q on this.
Nobody knows. The Mayan calendar ends on that date and Mayans were 100% accurate in everything even thousands of years in advance and their calendars are even more accurate than any calendar our own scientists with their tech. can come up with.
But nobody knows what it means that their calendar ended on 12.21.2012 It could mean something big, it could mean nothing at all. I’ve been told also that a planet alignment will happen that date that’s never happened before or happened millions of years ago so nobody knows if that means anything because there’s nothing to compare it to. Also have been told a sun storm and polar shift are possible in Dec. 2012. Coincidence?
But the fact is NOBODY knows, we’ll know when it comes. Why did the Mayan calendar end that date? Nobody knows. Did they just not get a chance to finish it? Did that mean the world was gonna end? We can’t know anything till Dec. 12 2012. Everything is just guesses and speculation and theories.

Every thing that has a beginning must come to an end…but I was talking about the Mayan calendar.I mean Whoever made the calendar had to end it sometime and it doesn’t mean the world will end because the calendar ends right there.I mean if you were in charge of writing the calendar like that one.Would you be able to writhe and predict for ever?No , so you have to stop some time and what a better time that a date when something important will happen.
The movie 2012 was made taking all the doomsday theorys there are now a days, like the Super volcanoes and the polar displacement and planet alightment.
If yo watch the story of the moon…I dot remember the latest article’s name.I saw it in History channel.It said that the moon keeps the polls(north and south)in teir place and so something like a polar change would not happen as it happended before the Earth had a moon and it does happen in Mars.
The super volcano is not active enogh to blow up untill about some thousands opf years in the future too.
Go search for facts on the internet not myths.And don’t worry.

Let’s see. The last time Haley’s comet came by (1986), I remember all of the Nostradamus predictions of the end of the world (a bright light will appear in the heavens). When the year 2000 hit, I remember everyone saying how the world’s financial systems would crash because of the date change. Every time an event happens, people excite themselves and others with predictions that have no founding basis in fact. Like when 1 Jan 2001 — they thought it would be another possible critical date. These people present inuendo and interpretations of things which sound plausible but you could take the predictions of Nostradamus (for example), and make it apply to almost anything! Actual proof that we are not going to die in 2012? Come on! Be a little realistic. Who’s to say it won’t be on 11 Nov 2011? How about this past 9 Sep 2009? What do you think the people of the world felt back on Nov 11, 1111 (11111111)? Or Dec 12, 1212 (12121212)?

no, when the world does end blame the spanish.
mayan calenders are supposed to be the most accurate of all time but the spanish destroyed most of their relics when they invaded.
so basically the tablet with the prediction is basically not even a full tablet,infact only about half of it is intact, so for all we know the mayans could have predicted that 2012 is the end of the superbowl for all time or the end of the……for all time

and if there was some sort of apocalyptic tragedy in 2012 dont you think more scientist would be researching it?

….Sorry no one can give you that proof. no one knows for sure when the world will end, people believe it’s in 2012 because of the Mayans calender…. but you shouldn’t worry about it, the last thing to do is let it take over your life. Even if a scientist proved that the world will end tomorrow that doesn’t mean it will. Only God knows when it will end.
