What are transitve, intransitive, and linking verbs?
I really do not understand the difference between these three types of verbs. For example, point out if there are any in these sentences;
"The Statue of Liberty, which has become a major American landmark, may well be the best-known structure in the world."
"It possessed a twofold magic: it symbolizes human liberty, and it unfailingly awes the visitor by its sheer size."
Using them in sentences might help. Thank you to everyone who answers!
It is all about how they relate to other words. Does it need an object to make sense? Is it helping another verb (usually related to tense).

What are James Spader's best movies and why?
My favorite is "Secretary" but I also like White Palace, Sex, Lies, & Videotape, Driftwood, Dream Lover, The Watcher, Stargate, The Stickup, and some others.
2 Days is actually pretty good. It grew on me.
My favorite 80s comedy is "Sixteen Candles". There are a lot of funny parts.

Pretty in Pink is one of the best if not THE best Teen Movie of the 80s, although I personally go for The Breakfast Club.
I can find nobody other than myself who likes 2 Days in the Valley, but I still say it’s a must-see.
Let people say what they will about me, I think Mannequin is hilarious!
Wall Street is by Oliver Stone, and that alone is reason enough to watch it. If only more people had listened to the message of that movie, maybe we wouldn’t be in such a bad recession right now.
I love Wolf, but then again I’m bias because James, Jack Nicholson, and Michelle Pfeiffer are some of my faves.

I would have to choose Sex, Lies and Videotape, Less than Zero and Pretty in Pink.
I think that these movies show that not everyone can play a immoral jerk like Spader can. He is absolutely brilliant! He’s the character that you love to hate. Especially after seeing him as such a nice guy in interviews, I respect that he can play such a manipulative and conniving characters.

One of my favourite Spader films is Jack’s Back. He plays twin brothers. The "good" brother is murdered and the "bad" brother tries to find who did it and why. It’s overall not a great movie, but Spader is really good in it.

How do you control a problem dog!?
Hi, this dog is a real problem and the owners dont feel they can cope with her messing everything up. She jumps up, play-bites (hard), chews everything, and generally runs around causing havoc. They’ve told her off every single time she does something wrong, but she doesnt care and just does it again. They put a muzzle of her when she play-bites, but when you take it off she just wags her tail, jumps up and bites you, because she thinks your playing. What can be done to make her behave!??
I would respectfully suggest you read a couple of books and watch some videos on raising and training dogs. Also, I recommend two TV shows, "The Dog Whisperer" with Cesar Millan on the National Geographic Channel, and "It’s Me or the Dog," with Victoria Stillwell, on Animal Planet. Both programs are very instructive and often deal with the issues you raise here. Good luck!

everytime shes naughty, put her in a different room on her own. a tap on the nose wouldnt hurt either. with male dogs, you can castrate them to calm them but i dont know with female dogs. see the vet or enrol the dog in an obedience class

Take her to a dog training class, it wont take long. There is useualy one not too far away, It is a matter of firmness and reward for good behaviour. They are very like children.

This dog hasnt had basic training, You need to tell the owners the ONLY thing they can do is go bak to the basics as if it were a pup, and as these bad habbits are now established I think a training class would be a must.
There really isnt another way, p[ups NEED basic training, this pup sounds though it hasnt had it at all or correcly, , either way you need to go back to basics

Rambunctious dogs need to release the extra energy. She needs to be exercised and walked on a regular basis. Not sure of the breed or size, but large breeds require a minimum of 45 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes in the evening.
She also needs to be in-rolled in obedience class. Petsmart offers classes for all different ages and levels. You get 8 weeks of class for not very expensive, I think around a $100. It would also be a great way for the dog to make friends and get rid of excess energy playing.
The Dog Whisperer and It’s Me or the Dog tv shows are great ways to learn training ideas and then see what works for you. Most importantly, they need to be persistent and patient with their training and the dog.

Dogs do not have problems, it’s always the owners inability to communicate with the dog. Telling a dog off is not the answer, she should be praised when she is well behaved and ignored if she misbehaves.
Praise is vital and when praise is inappropriate this is consider to be a rebuke. Please get rid of the muzzle, it;s cruel.

There is too much telling off and not enough praise going on that’s why she is a nuisance.
This dog only gets attention through misbehaving.
She has become stressed and acting this way is a classic sign.
They need to go to training classes and play and praise this dog more often.
It is such a same when dogs are misunderstood.

Won Ton Gai Pan was in a Battle for his life. Covered with bee stings he was also vomiting uncontrollably. Listed as Bon Ton Frying Pan on his chart……(Festus had relayed the pertintent information about the Beekeeper to Doc Adams, but of course got things all mixed up.)

Doc rubbed his face ,as is his wont, and shook his head slowly:" Festus……If I could assemble an entire Battalion of the finest doctors in the land I’m fairly certain they would want to examine your head!"
