IMDB rating: 6.80 Plot: Fresh-faced and innocent, Dorian Gray arrives in London to move into the house he has inherited. Almost immediately he falls under the influence of amoral and calculating Lord Henry Wotton, leading to a life of increasing debauchery and even violence. Through many years Gray stays as young-looking as ever, while a portrait painted when he arrived grows old, reflecting his increasing excesses. Eventually the picture, now secreted in his attic, becomes almost hideous to behold. When true love finally enters his life he realises he must guard his secret at all costs. |

which is your favorite book?
im a freshmen, i need help choosing a book to read for class, nothing too long or short, prefferably the least boring possible
I have charlie and the chocolate factory, charolette’s web, twilight, narnia, hoot, holes, picture or dorian gray, i am legend, because of win-dixie, and bridge to terabithia
Which would you choose and what would you suggest for me?
why cant anyone ever recommend a good book, all i get is BS
Rilynn, i said im not buying new books, and i wont read anything dull.
Last time i checked, the narnia series, twilight series, and i am legend were all 200 to 500 pages, i think thats more advanced than 5th grade level
Dorian Gray is a classic from the 19th century, but its a good classic
And most of these books are pretty old best sellers
EXCUSE ME BITCH!
Im not a fucking moron, i just hate books and i dont want to waste money on another book. i am capable of reading and comprehending, i just hate reading, and i prefer books no longer than 200 to 400 pages just because its easier for me to actually stay interested when a book isnt too dulk or too long
this is the kind of BS im talking about. maybe a bitch like you can learn to COMPREHEND what i mean by suggesting a book for me based on books i have or something similar. AND IF YOU CAN READ ENGLISH, YOU WOULD HAVE SAVED THE BULLSHIT
Out of those books, I would say Twilight. But let me give you some suggestions of books that I’ve read & LOVED. I’m a sophomore.
The Pact- Jodi Picoult It’s in the adult section but it’s SO SO SO good. It’s about a teenage boy that is accused of murdering his girlfriend that he was deeply in love with. It goes through a trial and it keeps you interested. It is soo good!
My Sister’s Keeper- Jodi Picoult You might have heard of the movie. This book was the first one I read by Jodi & I fell in love with it! It was so good. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
Dear John- Nicholas Sparks If you are the romantic type, you will love this! Movie is coming out, too!

Theres also a cute romantic book called ‘When it happens" by Susan Colasanti it all depends on the type of books you like, search barnes and nobles (teen section) they have amazing variety. goodluck

those are terrible books, no offense.
read something good for a change, read something that will make you more knowledgeble.
don’t read silly kid books that are 5th grade level.
try reading the secret life of bees or the bean trees or something.
or read something interesting, such as books by jodi picoult or something.

Wrong category. I suggest a book with very short, simple words and sentences, since you obviously have difficulty reading and comprehending English.
