Out of those books, I would say Twilight. But let me give you some suggestions of books that I’ve read & LOVED. I’m a sophomore.

The Pact- Jodi Picoult It’s in the adult section but it’s SO SO SO good. It’s about a teenage boy that is accused of murdering his girlfriend that he was deeply in love with. It goes through a trial and it keeps you interested. It is soo good!

My Sister’s Keeper- Jodi Picoult You might have heard of the movie. This book was the first one I read by Jodi & I fell in love with it! It was so good. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Dear John- Nicholas Sparks If you are the romantic type, you will love this! Movie is coming out, too!

It’s ok. You do need to stop doing this though. It would be best to find a better way of expressing your feelings.

If you haven’t, talk to your parents, and get counseling. Just a counselor, you’re not crazy, you’re not weird. Most people are way to scared to do this, it doesn’t mean anythings wrong with you, it just means your willing to ask someone else for help, a good skill in life

If that doesn’t work, perhaps you have an anxiety disorder? Counseling can help with that to.

TONS of people have problems like yours, they just hide it or never talk about it. Everyone has a messed up mind one way or the other. Being genuine is a very valuable quality. Many guys, if not most, in high school, are idiots. If they never talked to you, don’t feel bad. Genuine guys tend to be shy, so they typically won’t.

One thing that really is worse than anything, I think, is someone who tries to act differently around me to get me to like her. I can’t stand it. It means nothing, but it happens all the time. Genuine people (guys and girls), want someone who will be themselves around them, and they’ll do the same. There will always be someone who likes your real self. Trust me.

I believe the movie you are looking for is Stranded. Similar story line as Swiss Family Robinson. Same family name also. I also think this was a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. Excellent movie. One member of the family- youngest son was raised by pirates and reunites with family later on in movie. It is from 2002.

I haven’t read all of the books you listed, but I have read a good deal of them. That being said…

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a wonderful book. I think that’s a book every person should read at least once in their life, at least in my opinion.

I also love As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner. It does have some dark themes and concepts, but it is excellently written and simply an excellent book.

The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a short story. It is a very interesting story, and I found it somewhat thought-provoking, because it allows the reader to get into the head of a person who is not fully mentally stable. It’s also a pretty quick read.

I don’t know how many books/stories you’re supposed to pick, but some others that I believe are worth reading include Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, anything by Kurt Vonnegut, The Scarlet Letter by Hawthorne (I didn’t really like this one, but I can’t deny that it’s a true classic), and numerous others on the list you gave. All in all, I can’t say which books you might like, because I don’t know your taste in books. So, perhaps pick some from the list, look them up, and see which ones you think you might like the best…

I don't know I should do about my mother in law?
I guess I’ve gone to the desperasy of asking people online because I still have a problem. I have confronted my mother in law about some stuff she has said in the past and telling me what to do in a calmly manner. But when we go to her house, she still tells me what to do sometimes and I feel like she’s over my shoulder. I’ve tried avoiding her but she’ll ask me questions whenever she gets the chance or brings up something so she can tell me what I should do in that situation. I realize she is trying to help but at the same time I think she can be mean and rude. She will yell to get her way around her house, never yells at me but I mean to my husband and hers. She makes a big deal out of small situations. I always try to be polite, nice, and include her in things but I no longer enjoy being at her house because of how she acts. What should I do? I don’t think it’s right to completely cut her off from seeing my son and I but honestly if it’s something that will work in the long run… I’m open to all answers. I don’t want to do something I’ll regret. And I really don’t think that’s fair but then again she isn’t being fair. I don’t think it’s fair to put blame on my FIL either because he’s done nothing at all…been extremely nice and understand. And trust me… I’ve tried ignoring it… I do everytime…I’ve never raised my voice. But it’s everytime I go over there…shes in my business. I can’t stand it any longer. I also should add she treats her other sons and daughter the same way, like they are kids still. They are over 30..

Talk to your husband about it. Maybe if you talk to her together she will be more receptive. You don’t need to outright threaten not to see her again, but imply that if she’s going to act this way that you will not visit as much any more. In the end, if she can’t make an effort to control herself you are going to have to avoid visiting her home. She can still have contact with your family without directly being a part of your lives.

So, the thing is I love to carve pumpkins. But that’s only something you can do around Halloween.
