Why do Americans think their Presidents are trying to destroy America?
I know that I am opening up myself to rants from the fringe , but beyond making outrageous statements that he wants to destroy America, or wants to install socialism. What would be the motivation of Obama to take on a huge entitlement program like health care with very little political gain? This is the same thing that was done by the other side when Bush was in power . He was evil, crazy, loved war . I believe that these were as unfair characterizations of President Bush as they are of President Obama . No one becomes President to ruin the country or change it’s political system to some radicalized version of democracy. When did America become so paranoid ? it seems you have turned into a bunch of shut-in conspiracy theorists. Stop watching Fox and MSNBC or any news organization pushing agendas over objective coverage. You disagree with the President’s policies fine, then describe what you think his motivations are and why you disagree. Do it without sounding like a fringe nut job regardless of your political slant . Best answer goes to the person that make a rational case of discourse
