chest pains after giving birth and more please read!?
ok so my little boy is now 18days old and since monday i have been getting really sharp pains in the left side of my chest that get worst with deep breaths and when i move around. its been getting more frequent and worst over last few days and now i feel like i cant take a deep breath.

is this something to do with having a baby r something else?

also i couldnt go to toilet for a number 2 until he was 12days old and it really hurt there was alot of blood! and since then everytime i go it hurts like hell and there is blood.

what can i do about this?

and my bleeding did slow down after the birth but now seems to be going back to red blood how can i help this slow down?

Firstly for the "chest" pains, is there any chance you broke a rib? It kind of sounds like you might have.. as for the bleeding go and see your doctor! Even for the chest pains and an xray or something it couldn’t hurt at least then you would know if you broke a rib or not

I do not think the chest pain is related to the birth of you child. You need to consult with a doc on it… soon!

If you had an enema, then the first no 2 could be a while after. The pain and bleeding is something else. It could be a bad hemoroid… but again you should go to the doctor to get a proper diagnosis since it could be something else.

firstly the pains when breathing could be pluracy i had this after my 3rd child and got it around a week after having him (same time as my milk came but started to dry up) so you do need to go see a doctor on that one. its nothing too serious its just the pain that i couldnt cope with straight after having a baby, youve been through enough.

secondly the toilet thing – the blood was probably not from you going toilet you could of lost that from your bleeding still but seeing it in the loo would be a bit alarming, and you might of only had a bit of blood from your bottom through struggling to go. same again ask your doctor if its normal to go that long! if not he will give you something to help you go, ive had senekot in the past, and its worked, you take it at night and then you do go toilet the next day. and its fairly cheap to by yourself around ?3.

and thirdly the bleeding you cant do anything to slow it down, it needs to come from you, if its got alot heavier and doesnt settle after a few days go your doc about that, i do know my bleeding did the same but it did stop after a few days.

defo go to y our doctor about the pain in your chest and when your breathing because its sounds the same as what i had.

i heard you could have chest pains, it has something to do with the pushing during labor, dont know anyone it happened to.
where i live they prefer to keep you in the hospital until after #2, if it didnt come the second day they give you something to stick up there, they do this so that you overcome the fear of making, when you have stitches or whatever, that you wont be afraid to tear them or something. thats what i understood.
anyway maybe you have hemorrhoids and thats why its bleeding and hurting. although by me it also hurt a lot i should say, even tho 12 days after it was better already.
