What's your favourite "bad" film or series?
I mean the kind that are so badly made they’re hysterically funny. Like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or the 1966 version of Modesty Blaise. Or that series "The Prisoner". Explain why: poor effects, cheesy acting, or something else?
Zara, honey, we’re talking here about films that *are* bad, so bad they’re good!

Oh man, I love alot of the bad 80s sci-fi movies that come on late at night. One of my favorite bad 80s movies is Clash of the Titans. I also liked Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Justme | May 24, 2007

The A Team – for the reasons you state, poorly conceived, poor story-line, rubbish sets and actors – but they had an awesome van. And the Prisoner was a classic, bad series indeed !!

i used to like prisoner cell block H

Elvira Mistress of the Dark – and quite possibly Tank Girl.
Watch the movies and you’ll see why, lol

No Retreat No Surrender. Really bad action movie from the early 80’s.
wahonlew | May 24, 2007

The land of Giants was hilarious, I watched it a few times when C4 repeated them.

Just remembered about a film from the lovely 80’s called Basket Case, and the immortal cheesy lines of’ Whats in the basket?’ ‘Its my brother!!!’
Mas | May 24, 2007

Series – Manomal was a all time classic cheese
Film – Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai in the eighth dimension
Loader2000 | May 24, 2007

Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze.
Terrible movie, but every time I watch it from beginning to end.
aciddddropper | May 24, 2007

Sunset Beach – was on a few years ago here in UK – so cheesy you could smell it lol
One good thing out of it though – Eddie Cobain – as I like to call dimples
Redhead | May 24, 2007

Commando with Arnie. Its just hilarious he even jumps out of an airliner and lands in a river then just runs off!!!. He also shoots the same bloke on about 10 different occassions in the final battle. He also senses some people are coming to get him as they are down wind of him !!!.

Let off some steam Bennett !!!

Blake 7 … I didn’t think much of the cardboard acting at the time, but having seen a few re-runs I have been amazed just how much the set moved too. If the actor was to close a door the whole set shook, quite funny in an odd way.

Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace. Nothing beats a cheap cheapie.
Jif L | May 24, 2007

I loved an Australian horror movie called "Bad Taste". It starts of with a group of aliens who discover the latest in fast food – humans and just gets worse from there on.

The acting is atrocious, the horror effect are straight out of a boy scouts halloween meeting, but it is a very funny film to watch. Favourite part of the film, where the anti-hero attacks the aliens with a petrol lawn mower. Apparently the scene still holds the record for the most fake blood ever used on a set in one scene.
Anchor Cranker | May 24, 2007

The Incredible Hulk,I mean that back then was classic but I cringe now when I watch it,lol!!!!
bunkyfoots | May 24, 2007

Hello.
"The Prisoner" is the BEST tv show of all time, are you nuts?
For truly awful, I offer you the ENTIRE CAREER of Doug McClure (excepting "The Virginian", which was merely mediocre. I swear, the man has less presence than a block of wood and an unerring eye for a stinker – especially thr films he made in britain, suc as "The Land That Time Forgot". Terrible acting, clunky script, woeful special effects, wretched plotlines – our hero nevertheless succeeds in being the worst part of any film he is in, no matter how appalling the rest of the film may be. Other noted dreadful actors and actresses acquire charm and a veneer of competence when put in a scene with Doug – even Caroline Munro!
He has been elevated to the acme of awfulness by being selected by The Simpsons to represent actors of so little talent that it seems a kind of negative force – Troy McClure.
Who could argue with that?
Regards, Steve.

Re: TV series – so many to choose from. The early B&W Flash Gordon’s were appalling SFX-wise, yet sadly quite entertaining.

Re: films – I really like "Freddy Got Fingered" – one of the very very very few films that Roger Ebert gave absolutely no stars to in a review, that critics around the globe lined up to pan, which won two Golden Razzies and effectively ended Tom Green’s Hollywood career.

"Daddy would you like a sausage?

Daddy would you like some sausages?!"

Now how can that scene not be funny…?!

(apart from – it appears – the obvious…?)

What does this girl think of me?
Her attitude towards me is a little confusing to me. I met her through a (female) friend. I don’t know if I’ve shown any romantic interest in her, but I have been friendly toward her because I do like her – then again, I’m not a nasty person, so I wouldn’t be nasty to anybody unless they’d done something terrible (like Mr Bin Laden). I’ve spoken to her few times in person, the first time I got a bit tipsy and don’t remember much and the second time she seemed in a very good mood but it was a brief encounter since I was on my way somewhere. Aside from that it has just been the occasional greeting.

Anyway, if you can be bothered to read, here is our facebook conversation so far (not sure if I will continue it), please tell me what you think:

[She looks me up and adds me as a friend]

What songs do you never skip on your iPod?
We all have iPods nowadays. I put mine in shuffle and keep on skipping until I find a song I feel like listening to….
I might completely skip a song, I might listen to half of one song, or I might only listen to the chorus of another song.

But we all have songs that are Classics!
Songs that we listen to all the way through, every time we come by it on our iPods….

What are those songs to you?????

Some songs that I never skip:

Billie Jean- Michael Jackson(nuff said)
Robocop & Heartless- Kanye West(new flavor)
Bust it Baby Part 2- Plies ft Ne-Yo(has the perfect hook)
Heart of the City- Jay-Z(off of The Blueprint)

and for the ladies:
Tim McGraw- Taylor Swift(beautifully written)
That’s What You Get- Paramore
Breathe-Taylor Swift ft Colbie Calliat(even more beautifully written)

I would never skip these:

Game:Disturbed
Before I forget that: Slipknot

Menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding) ?
I started my period last year, and it stopped for about 5 months during the summer. It picked back up in late August, and after the first one, I have been having extremely heavy menstrual flows, so bad i must change a "super" less than an hour apart every day, and they last for maybe 3 or 4 days (i don’t have the days right down to be exact) I get huge blood clots a, deep reds and sometimes near black (more like dark maroon) and it in ables me to do anything but stay at home during the four days. they come about 3 weeks apart, so i believe im becoming regular. At night i must change during the night every hour, keeping me up. Lately I’ve been getting mid-back cramps about the second day, hurting a lot. So this does affect my daily lifestyle. I have heard this could be symptoms of Menorrhagia… is this true (i am a virgin so no pregnancy ideas) I am still pretty young (a minor)
Is this something to worry about? what should i do? after a couple more periods will it get less heavy or am i stuck with this? because its a major hassle. would pregnancy pills help, or any other ideas… thank you for your time!!

I had this same problem around the age of 14 and ended up having to see a doctor because I was becoming anemic because of the amount of blood loss..My doctor placed me on brth control pills which shortened them and made them a lot lighter with little to no cramps. I suggest you make an appointment with a gynecologist as soon as possible.

Hamlet (1996)

IMDB rating: 7.70

Plot: Hamlet, son of the king of Denmark, is summoned home for his father’s funeral and his mother’s wedding to his uncle. In a supernatural episode, he discovers that his uncle, whom he hates anyway, murdered his father. In an incredibly convoluted plot—the most complicated and most interesting in all literature—he manages to (impossible to put this in exact order) feign (or perhaps not to feign) madness, murder the “prime minister,” love and then unlove an innocent whom he drives to madness, plot and then unplot against the uncle, direct a play within a play, successfully conspire against the lives of two well-meaning friends, and finally take his revenge on the uncle, but only at the cost of almost every life on stage, including his own and his mother’s.

Hamlet Debate HELP Please!!?
Argue: Hamlet’s soliloquies do NOT dull his revenge….they intensify his revenge and his emotions.

I need some good arguments to argue this point…if u have some counter arguments against this point…those will work too, because I will have to do rebuttals against the other team too.

Thank you….any help will be appreciated!

Too too solid flesh (Act 1) before he sees the ghost, intensifies his anger toward his mother for marrying so soon after his father’s death. To be or not to be (Act 3) weakens his resolve as he contemplates suicide. Alas poor Yorick (Act 5) is the height of his melancholy, and here he is at his weakest, but when Laertes leaps in Ophelia’s grave, he is steeled again.
