Hasnt the Boxing judging/scoring been much worse than the Gymnastics judging?
Imo, the judging (scoring) in boxing has been much worse than the judging in gymnastics. There’s so much clutching and grabbing and the refs let it happen. Also it’s so hard to tell why clean shots aren’t scored and phantom punches are. Some really good boxers are being robbed of medal chances. Has anyone been watching the boxing and can back me up on this?
Both judging systems are horrible. But yes, the way they are scoring the boxing matches are almost laughable. And the refs are terrible, from what I’ve seen so far. Too much grabbing/holding going on, I agree completely. Very dirty and that makes me want to not watch it.

I cannot bring myself to watch olympic boxing because it is a joke. Not only is the judging ridiculous, it affects the way the contestants actually box, which creates very dull matches. Boxing can be exciting, but the IOC must do something about their scoring system, which has long been pathetic.

I don’t understand the boxing scoring system. I felt kinda perplexed too when i was watching. But i believe they are professionals and they know the rules that’s how they count the score.

oh man ..shocking to watch, I think is now even more corrupt than professional boxing judges, apparently they just give away points based on which country the boxer comes from.
