How do you program a 2003 lincoln aviator keyless remote??
I purchased a 2003 lincoln aviator with no keyless remote. I bought one and need to know do I have to have one to program one or is the new remote okay as some vehicles need both???????
You only need one remote to program. Cycle the ignition key between the OFF and RUN position EIGHT times, ending in the RUN position until you hear the power locks cycle off and on, indicating that it is in programming mode. Now simply press any one of the buttons on the new remote and wait for the locks to respond accordingly. Once done, your new remote is programmed. Hope this helps.

I see that Fordgirl has already answered the Q quite accurately!
I have only to add to her excellent answer.
The complete instructions & diagram are found on page 162 of the digital owners manual that I will provide a link to.
The digital manual is a FREE download, courtesy of Fords website.
It is in pdf format & can be saved to your computer or printed for future reference.

i had those instructions that FORD girl is talking about and it didn’t work. It doesn’t hurt to try it but if that doesn’t work just go to your owners manual and the steps are in there for my Lincoln I just need to enter the code followed by pushing the lock and unlock in sequence and then the last two numbers on the door pad and all this is in my owners manual.
