I go to school in DeKalb county in Illinois, but I’m registered to vote in McHenry county in Illinois. Can I still vote at a polling place on campus? Help me out, guys.
Yes, I go to NIU.
Also, what the hell’s Acorn?
at this late date, I would go to the precinct that your driver’s license address covers
hopefully they will let you cast a provisional ballot
otherwise, you are probably too late
and nothing short of nuclear war should stop you from voting this time
you will kick yourself forever if you miss this one
and if you want to be SURE about where to vote
go to your state’s website, or call the voter hotline there

No, you have to vote where you are registered. There is no way around that… If you really want to vote, start making plans to head back home on the 4th.

you could have filled out for an absentee ballot, but it may be to late to fill out the application or you may want to go to an early voting place and show your id.

No..you need to be registered in the county you want to vote in

Go to your home county’s website. They should have an option to register for an absentee ballot.

You need to either go home that day and vote or, though its probably to late now, register for an absentee ballot from your state.

if you are a first time voter and registered your college address then you can vote on campus. If you used your home address from McHenry you have to go back to mcHenry or send an absentee ballot. You go to NIU?

no you cant.
its probably too late to get an absentee ballot, and you cant vote in the wrong district
Drive home- VOTE, drive back

If you haven’t already requested an absentee ballot, it may be too late.
The safest bet would be to take a road trip and vote at your normal polling location.

You need to vote via absentee ballot. Call the Elections Commission in McHenry Country and they will tell you how to do it.

No, you can’t vote at a polling location on campus. You must vote in your district. They will have your name and address on the rolls there. I am not sure if is too late to request an absentee ballot for your state. I would try early voting.
