If a guy gets jealous does there have to be some type of feelings?
I’ve known him properly for 2 yrs. He made it clear that he was interested in me at one point, and we started to hang out and get close. We haven’t slept together (we’ve both only slept with one person)-the only thing is he told me he was too young and has too much energy for a girlfriend. He did eventually ask me out, but he faded away very quickly and I knew it was because of his commitment issues.
It drove me crazy when we were hanging out in a group and he’d be flirting, yet I couldn’t be with him. He would say something like "that song reminds me of us, when we were hanging out." or "I still have that bottle of wine you bought at my house." Why is he bringing back these memories to torture me with?
One night, his drunk friend Sam came onto me and he hated it. He said something about how Sam was getting close to me. His friend said something back and he said "yeah, she’s my black rose" (it’s from a song, a nickname he has, but he’d never personally called me that before). That night he got all serious, saying I deserve someone special because have a good heart. Why doesn’t he want me then?
Another time, I was talking to his friend and I noticed him look at me, sort of smiling, but serious. He came over and started play-fighting with the guy. I keep talking to his friend and he comes over again and pecks me on the lips. He kissed me one day and told his close friends,, yet he didn’t talk about it with me. The only thing he said to me on msn was "who was the guy you walked home with?." When we’re alone together, he’s the nicest person ever, yet when he texts me and never called, back when were hanging out, unless it was on the day we were meeting.
Recently, when I contacted him, he wanted to meet up, he walks me home, have a great time etc…and he even brought up memories that I forgot about, including his drunk friend coming onto me…but again I probably won’t hear from him again until I contact him or we bump into each other. He doesn’t have this sort of one on one relationship with any other girl, because I know his friends. We’re always joking and laughing, there’s physical flirting etc.. Does he like me, but not enough to date me? He’s not had a girlfriend before.
