Why do catholics insist upon displaying a graven image of Christ on the cross? ?
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Jesus died, was raised again, and sits at the right hand of God.
He isn’t on the cross, who would want him put back on it?
Or is it that the catholics enjoy seeing scenes of torture?
It was through Christ’s suffering that we are redeemed. I agree with you in that Christ is no longer on the cross, but seated at the right hand of God with all power and authority. He is no longer the little baby in a manger but rather the King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s. His coming is even at the doors and I personally cannot wait. God bless you Richard. Michelle
ps. We are to remember Christ’s sacrifice for our sins through the Holy Communion, not the vision of Christ on the cross.

"But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews indeed a stumblingblock, and unto the Gentiles foolishness": 1st Corinthians 1:23
We still preach His crucifixion. If you do not, I wonder about you.

It symbolizes what he did for us. And would you stop with all this Catholic crap and just let us do our own thing? We know why we do what we do. You are not Catholic, why do you care?

As long as Jesus stays on the cross, no one is saved. That’s the way satan wants it.

I’m a Protestant, and I wear a crucifix around my neck. I don’t worship it as an idol, I wear it so that people will know right away that I believe in the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
